Just wanted to post this as it may help folks. When I first got this thing I hated the remote because of no stop button and missing the format button. Ive grown to like it just fine, but one confusing thing is why did they make it so hard to stop a program.
Through my reading, answers were to fast forward to the end (which I was doing) or jus thit exit (sucks IMO).
I recently also discovered the thing works exactly like TiVo remote. When watching the recording, just press the left arrow on the keypad and it takes you back into the menu, while the recording keeps playing.
