I've been having some problems with my oldest TIVO and something seems a bit strange.
I now have a HD TIVO and two SD TIVO (one Hughes and One RCA). My house is setup so that all signals are distributed throughout the house using a multi-channel modulator. Considering all receivers are in one location I use a IR to RF transmission device to send the IR signal to each of the receivers.
Now here's the problem - it is quite odd. On the RCA receiver I can stand in front of the receiver and the remote works well. However, when I place an IR unit in it, it will not work. Taking the IR unit and putting it into any of the other receivers (or AV equipment for that matter) it works w/o issue.
I know it's not the remote, as I can assign a different code to it and use it on another receiver (with or w/o the IR device).
Any suggestions?
