All of that crap? a few emails a week of junk mail? So what... there is
a handy feature on most email called DELETE. It takes less than a second to
do.

with this list. It is nice to have Wilt here, but the spam is the
worst I have ever seen anywhere, and no one cares to do anything
about it. It is a joke. I don't respond to any of the spams, nor do
I read them, but it is depressing to see so many scumbags out there
trying to rip people off. It is also depressing to see that anyone
looking for info on VOOM needs to sift through all of that crap.
It takes a lot of credibility away from VOOM.

I will be getting my updates from satelliteguys from now on.
Good luck to anyone who sticks it out here.

At SatelliteGuys our custom written software automatically catches spam and marks it as spam. As soon as one of our Staff Members spots a VOOM Yahoogroup marked as **SPAM** they delete it.

I am working on making it so that the ones marked **SPAM** are automatically deleted.

Our Yahoogroups Gateway is not perfect, for example when someone posts a message to the VOOM Yahoogroup that has a Virius in it our server automatically rejects the message, because of this Yahoogroups marks us for bouncing messages and shuts out account off (then we need to reactive it) sometimes reactivation is instant and sometimes it takes 12+ hours before its working again, when this happens we miss message while we are waiting for yahoo to turn us on again.

I feel that even with its flaws the Yahoo VOOM group is a very valuable asset to everyone, we at SatelliteGuys will continue working to make sure you can read and post to the Yahoogroups without the SPAM that is common from Yahoogroups.

It's not a few spam emails a week. It is at least 4 a day, and
lately, the spams are outnumbering the voom posts. I don't get the
emails, and I don't get the digest. I just check the messages at the
yahoo groups site. I have offered to help with the spam, and I got
no response. Others have offered to help with the same results.

One interesting thing, though. Since my post earlier today, someone
went in and cleaned all of the recent spam out of the archives, as
well as my original post regarding spam and any other responses to
it. So, we do have a moderator here......
