RE: [VOOM] Wanted: Yahoo Voom Moderator

After six months of Voom service, I have decided to cancel Voom today and am
going to Time Warner Cable. I know I'm going to lose 95% of the HD channels
I get with Voom, but I'm gaining a dual tuner HD-DVR and my daughter also
gets a DVR, all for less than I pay for Voom now. They also have free
installation so I'm not paying a penny out of pocket. With the new tv season
coming out in a couple weeks and yesterday's press release, I no longer have
confidence Voom is going to succeed, much less release their HD DVR which is
what I've been waiting for all this time.

As the Yahoo Voom moderator, I need someone to do the duties. They include
approving users who signup to the forum, creating polls, moderating the
group in case anyone tries to do any flame throwing or outright
advertisements and keeping the group locked down so only members can post
and participate in the group. This person should be a Voom user and online
daily so things don't get backed up. I personally feel that since becoming a
moderator of this group, I've done all of the above and kept the risk of
spammers and viruses down as much as possible and this group has been a safe
place to go to discuss all things Voom.

I vote for shutting down the Voom Yahoo Group and leaving a banner page that directs everyone to a real forum, such as the SatelliteGuys.US forum.

What's missing from these well wishes? Could it be, "Don't leave now, we're getting ready to promote the DVR - we don't plan to leave you anytime soon!" Surely VOOM is no longer in a SEC mandated quiet period.

disappointed in vOom's future. But I have a feeling you will be back in the next year. vOom

Sorry to see the Moderator leave Voom But...

I fully understand ...

It seems that more and more people are not very happy with issues about Voom and from the SateliteGuys.US there seems to be a lot of dis satisfaction with Voom, like me I love Voom HD stations and satalite reception
when everything is working perfect, but Voom while having Z best Reception and number of HD stations & I especially love the diplexers and seemless intergration of OTA stations has to also deliver important things like a HD DVR and have a service plan that people don't have to wait weeks for a service call and take off from work and find that service call canciled or service tech not having the proper part or equipment to install.

I've been waiting over two weeks now for a service call on a bad sat receiver box, stayed home all morning and they not only don't come then didn't even call me to cancil when they were schedualed to arrive.

I don't want to Bash Voom -- Voom outsources it's service calls to Installs Inc. and they in turn outsource as well. Past customer's of Comcast Cable and Dish receive and expect high quality service and prompt service calls.
most people unlike me , don't spend much time on poor service related issues like me, they don't complain or post issues they just cancil service with the provider. And won't stand for poor service over higher quality content.

Voom seems to need a customer either lucky enough to have no service related issues or one like me who would rather have a superior HD content provider that gives you higher quality HD content and much more of it at the cost of quality installtion service and customer repair service related satasifcation.

There is not question ... Voom should issue and send out replacement sat receiver boxes to customers who won't receiver service calls for weeks --
but it against Voom's policy to do so, but Dish & Direct send a box out overnight to you and Comcast will deliver one ... in an hour to your home if there is any complaint about their service made to them. :)

I love VoomHD and I hope they succeed , and I'll proberly stay with them till them till the end, but they need to please more people by the end of each month then they seems to p*ss off by the end of each month :eek:
