Received smart cards for my receivers today from ATT/DISH

Now, I have been with ATT/DISH about 2 1/2 years now and have two receivers, the 322 and 722.

Never before has their been cards in the units I have.
So, what does these cards actually do for me? The letter associated actually says , "so you may continue to enjoy your DISH Network programming!"

Anybody else get these?

They have been mailing them out for the last 6 months now.

You need to put them in or in a few weeks your Dish Network service will stop working.

While your thinking of it put them in now.

I have already put them in with no problems....

Was thinking as long as I pay my bill on time my Dish Network service would work.

I got one about a month ago to put into my 811 which until then never had a card. I will say that I used to get an error occasionally about not being subscribed to channels I was subscribed to and I haven't had any since I got the card and installed it.
