Oh...that was probably me. I think when experimenting a couple of years ago, I connected the GSP microHD on this receiver's loop through. I believe I tried powering from the microHD instead of from this receiver. So I may have fed 13 or 18 V into this receiver.
Added: Thinking back...I was trying to get an elegant way to receive JBS from 99W Ku. Neither the GSP microHD nor Openbox S9 can receive the video from JBS. I thought I could use the cheap receiver as a front end tuner to receive JBS but control the LNBs and motor and receive all other sats from the microHD.
Also, the blind scan on the cheap receiver is very fast and accurate.
This is the week of playing with all old receivers I have including this cheap receiver, a Fortec Star Mercury, the Coolsat 5000, Openbox S9 and of course the cool microHD. The old receivers, especially if they support DVB-S2, are still nice to use.
