Record more than 2 hours at a time?

I wanted to record the closing ceremonies of the Olympics tonight. I hit record and it says it will only go to 2 hours. Is there a way to have it record more than 2 hours at a time? Or does it need to rest for a bit between doing that?

Press the record button after the recording starts.
Enter the duration you want for the recording.
Then press the record button one more time.

you can do that to change it to anything from 00:01 to I think 24 hours
