recording a series

i am trying to record episodes of storage wars and just cancel them when i don't feel like recording them that day, but my DVR has only recorded the new episodes even though i have it to set record both new episodes and repeates.

What is the log telling you about why the repeats aren't recording?

Does the show not have episode names or numbers?

the repeats are not even "to do list" so the log have no info on it, yes the show has episode names, its was working until this week, did i cancel them too much? and the DVR remember that?

What 28 day rule ?
Unless your talking about VOD.

After 28 days a repeat can become a new episode as far as the DVR is concerned. Only in cases where the correct info is is not received from the broadcaster.
