Anyone have experience purchasing a Joey rather than the standard lease? If so do they generally come with a remote or would that have to be purchased separately?
Some background, I currently have a setup with a 722k that TV1 is a main living room setup, TV2 is connected to a guest bedroom, and a third tv is mirrored over component video. I also have a 211k w/EHD set up in bedroom for DVR functionality. I'm strongly considering moving to the Hopper w/Sling, mostly to gain the extra functionality of offline viewing on a tablet on airplanes, but also because the guest bedroom control has never worked well, and the 211k can be laggy at at times. So I'd get the Hopper w/Sling to replace the 722k, and a Joey/SuperJoey for the bedroom. But as the guest bedroom doesn't get used often it makes little sense to pay a programming fee for a second Joey unless I know someone's visiting. This leads me to believe purchasing a Joey is the way to go for that room. As an additional question does anyone have much experience in purchasing used Dish equipment on ebay as opposed to new from a place like DishDepot that I have seen recommended in other posts? Obviously experience may vary as with anything ebay related but keeping costs down is always nice, especially knowing I'll be experiencing an increase in equipment fees.
