Remote issue

I have a 722 receiver. tv 1 has worked great, but now it wont allow me to re-program it. the satellite function works fine. However, as I press the (TV Button) rather then it glow red and allow me to scroll through the codes by pushing the channel up )or down) button it only blinks several times. it will not liuminate red and allow me to channel up through the codes.

Ive gone to the system info screen and pressed record 3 times to reset remote, but still not luck.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

It sounds like the remote is in limited mode. Here are the steps to disable limited mode. Let me know if it allows you to scan the codes after doing this.

1. Press and hold the TV mode button. All four mode buttons should light up
2. Press the PAGE ? button. The mode TV button should light up.
3. Press the POUND (#) button. The mode button should light up.
4. Press the SAT mode button. The SAT mode button should light up. Limited Mode is now disabled.

yep limited mode can be a pain because you have to press and hold tv just right. simply pressing tv will give you the 3 flashes and you have to start over.
