Remote stopped working

My remote stopped working my 722k after I hooked my receiver up to my new lg tv. I can't get it to do anything. Any ideas?

Press system info on the front of the receiver, then press SAT on the remote once and then record 3 times

turn off power saving features on the tv and/or backlighting.

Thanks matt and hifi. The power saving thing did the trick. I assume it causes signal interference?
