Removing HD Access

I currently have a HD receiver with HD access. For now I just want to cancel my HD access subscription since we don't even get HD locals and there's what like 10 HD channels? I'm going to wait until they have their so called 100 HD channels. I tried going to DirecTV.com to cancel my HD access, but I can't find anywhere to get rid of it. Does anyone know where I can go to get rid of HD or do I have to call and request it?

You are probably using one of the old packages, which the website does not allow to be changed. You could sign up for one of the new packages and not select the HD option. If you want to keep your current pkg/price, a CSR might be able to drop the HD, but they also might want you to change to the new pkg/pricing scheme.

If they live up to what they have been saying, leased HD equipment requires the "HD Access Fee" to remain activated.
