Think about it!

All the satelites are in a band over the equator very close to each other, relatively speaking. As the band of satellites goes west from your location, the relative elevation to the horizon goes down, the same is true as you look east from your location. From the zenith, there is only one way to go, down.

I'm not confused about the Clarke belt. I'm confused as to why you responded to my post.
