I was reading a couple of old articles about games between two really awful teams.

They were given the names of 'Repus Bowl.' (Get it?)

Any of you guys ever recall instances where two REALLY bad teams played each other?

Last season - The Lions and Raiders. Week one.

Lions finished 7-9. Not exactly horrific.

Here are some examples of what I meant by Repus Bowl:

1991- 1-14 Colts vs. 2-13 Buccaneers
(Once upon a time, the Colts really stunk- strange but true)

1986- Winless 0-10 Colts vs. 2-9 Falcons
(Colts blocked a punt and returned it for a TD to win)

If I were a Lions fan (like you and Jimbo), I'd be very encouraged for next season.

Personally, I think they have a good shot at the playoffs- Chicago's not great, and Green Bay will be without Favre.

They have talent- all they need is a chance to grow up and learn how to win.

IMO, the Vikings will be the Lions' biggest obstacle in that division.
