how does a reverse polarity LNBF work exactly and what is it used for

usually these are used when looking at a reflector thats pointed to a dish ...like a Toroidal dish. this method usually allows several lnbfs to point at one reflector and one dish. therefore combining several dishes and even subscription services into one dish.
