Just wondering which wireless router plays best with hr34 hr24 mrv. Have netgear wndr3700 but cant keep connection with VOD.. I have one hooked up that is on its last leg and can access mrv........thanks for the help and input

Hello drainsurgeon007,

Some additional information would make assisting you much easier. Who is your internet provider? Is it cable, satellite, fiber or a very slow broadband using telephone connection. What download and upload speeds do you get at different time during the day and night. Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test is one place to test your system. Have you tried Netgears forums and technical support to see about your issue and other similar issues. to yours I recently purchased a Netgear wndr 4500 as my old router died. I received my information from their support after checking on the Netgear forums. I found out that some settings needed to be change d to make my router work properly. Since I made the suggested changes my router has been working flawlessly.

I have att fast dsl 6mbps dowload speed consistantly per speedtest.net at diff times day and night...i cant get netgear to help because they say my router is registered under the name of a Dtv tech..

I have a Netgear 3700 and I have the DirecTV Cinema Connection kit connected to my SWM installation and I have no problems with any of my receivers connecting to the internet.

I don't know if these settings help but it can't hurt. Here is some information for you. Some settings that might help you. The url's are for the product pages for the different versions of the wndr3700.

Use the Genie Software and if necessary change some of the information.

Setup - WAN Setup - ADVANCED
MTU Size(in bytes) 1496 bytes (not 1500)


Wireless - BASIC
Wireless Network (2.4GHz b/g/n)
Enable Wireless Isolation
Enable SSID Broadcast
Name (SSID): NETGEAR20
Channel: 11
Mode: Up to 450 MBPS


Wireless - BASIC
Wireless Network (5GHz a/n)
Enable Wireless Isolation
Enable SSID Broadcast
Name (SSID): NETGEAR20-5G
Channel: 157
Mode: Up to 450 MBPS
