hey, quick question for the experts in here.

I have a gateway hub from 2 wire, it has four ethernet ports on it and is wireless, I have with my television and Xbox, the 622 reciever, and HD DVD player and am getting ready to add a Slingbox, if i get just a regular 4 port hub and connect it to the router will it allow me to hook all of this stuff up and the internet stuff work.

I do not want to buy something and it not work.

You can get either a hub or switch and it will work.

Thanks, that is what I thought, I do not want to have to run 4 cables from my router, so the hub would be the logical choice.

Go for the switch instead of a hub.

Go for the switch. Works better
