RT in trouble?

I haven't been watching Russia Today as much recently, but these were apparently aired live the last few days. The network could find itself in trouble soon. Watch and you'll see what I mean .

Yes, that is the first video (the one whom RT first suggested sending to Crimea, then changed their minds. RT did eventually remove her rant from their recorded collection of videos). The second one is another anchor who, the day after, resigned on air while saying that she was basically tired of presenting a white-washed view of Russia's actions in Ukraine.

RT is a state run "news" organization so I for one wouldn't expect to see anything negative on Putin there and can't believe that news anchor didn't know this before she went to work for them? I do believe she really screwed up her news anchor career though as any prospective employer would have to look at this incident as her "going rogue" live on the air, which probably isn't a good thing.

I´ve watched RT the last days, I found an obvious pro Russia position on their reports, while Russia was invading and they were reporting how happy the locals were (focusing in just the few of them who actually were) and how the locals were even posing with Russian soldiers.

After a while I got tired of their propaganda and tuned in to another channel to find out the truth.

So if I really want to know what´s going on in Russia I stay away from RT.

The woman on the second video resigned, but did Abby Martin (first video) resigned also ? I like her show, precisley because as demonstrated in this video she speaks her mind, in this case against the Russian invasion.

No, I don't think Abby Martin resigned. In fact, RT tried to make a special point that they did not fire her. And yes, I am treading very carefully to stick to just the facts because I know this borders on a political discussion.

Thanks for the prompt response. Yep I know you´re very careful not to incur in political discussions.
My point regarding FTA channels is that if I want to know what´s really going on in one country I should look for a FTA channel from another country . I know that may sound weird but I guess you know what I mean.

I can't stand RT's news. It's such a pant load.

But I do like some of their documentaries, there is one that's something like "Exploring Russia with James Brown" I think and it's pretty neat.
I like to see foreign places and learn about other cultures and people and a lot of the places they show are sooooooo beautiful!
And that one show is usually politic/religion free, it seems to be very neutral and just trying to show you new things.

I'm good with that.

But their news, I can't stomach. I can find 100,000,000 other things to watch before I'll watch their news.

I wish they would have a documentary only channel.

I checked out their so called documentary channel on Roku and the picture quality is worse than the worst youtube garbage. It's not even watchable not to mention, there is almost no selection.

They used to have a website of free videos you could watch or download and lots of the documentaries were on there. But it seems to have gone bye bye now and was replaced with some nonsense called ruptly.tv which seems to only contain archived news nonsense. What a real bummer.

I really don't care that much for RT anymore. They need a good swift kick in the backside.
