  • BUG Report System

Dear members,

From now RTi team will use Public BUG Report System which can be found here :

http://bugzilla.azbox-enigma.eu

Before You submit any BUG, please read carefully if BUG is already submited by someone!

Things which are not considered as BUG will be not aproved, and will be deleted imidiatelly.

Idea of BUG Report System is to help us to try ASAP to solve as much as possible BUG's in Enigma 2 for AzBox HD Devices. We hope that we can count on You this time, as You can count on RTi Team regarding support of Enigma 2 for Your STB's.

Your RTi Team

I have installed RC11 and I think this is probably the first version which I would recommend for people to try. E2 is very different from factory firmware. I am by no means an expert and have no immediate plans for a tutorial however I've been using it mainly because it looked interesting and it offers the potential to truly use the AZbox hardware to its fullest. While E2 on AZbox is still in beta, most major functions work fine. If you have an Ultra or Premium+, hardware blindscan isn't yet there so you may not be interested however for Elite and Premium users, once configured I think its much better. If you're not sure yet or need factory firmware, you can install factory firmware on a USB stick so you have the option of booting either.

Installation of E2 does require your AZbox to be connected to you network and a PC is used for the installation. Software on the PC is also used to edit your satellite/transponder list which is then sent to your AZbox. There is currently no editing of adding/deleting satellites thru E2 as this can only be done via PC. You can manually add transponders to scan with your remote although not aware of a way to delete them.

Unlike with factory firmware, the E2 dev team is very responsive to fixing any bugs is genuinely interested in making the AZbox the premiere receiver. If you do decide to take the plunge, be aware that you will essentially be using a new OS and navigation is entirely different.
