RTV on 83w

Is RTV still on 83w? I have an 18" dish with a universal LNB fixed on it, however it has not come in for over a day now. Tweaking does not help. I heard RTV/TUFF/PBJ have a limited life left on 83w.

You need more than a puny 18 inch dish to receive this transponder reliably.

I can get it on my Dish 500 mod but it is breaking up really bad right now. Either my dish has moved again or the signal is back to the way it was several months ago.

Thanks for checking. I'll experiment with my 90cm tommorrow to see if that will make a difference.

And soon it won't make any difference since it won't be on 83W and that 90cm will have to grow into at least a six footer preferably an eight
