In many areas cable has far more HD than either Direct or Dish. I had satellite for 19 years, but switched to Charter cable in Fort Worth last year when they went all digital. I get over 200 HD channels including almost all of the ones listed above and the HD picture quality looks as good as Direct (the SD looks much better). Charter's DVRs are antiquated, so I bought a 6 tuner Tivo and three minis. The new customer savings over the first two years more that pays for the upfront cost of the Tivos. After that the monthly cost of the four receiver system is only $17.

checked my app (Android) shows GSN in HD tomorrow, no HD icon by today's listing
hopefully it goes live in the morning, it's one of the last channels I'm waiting on.

I just checked and GSN isn't even listed on my app. I don't have any filters set. Every channel is listed, with the exception of GSN. Weird.

I am glad for more HD but they could of added more popular stations for example FXM etc these 3 they added or waste of HD imo and I know we all won't agree but there is more bigger stations they could of added

The usual answer why isn't a channel in HD is because of the contract doesn't have HD included. But then why does FXM had HD movies on the On Demand channel? I would think of the DoD channel has HD then it's in the contact.

I don’t dismiss added HD programmers which may not interest me (but does for others). I wouldn’t disrespect people. But, I do feel like the programming in standard definition, which does have high def, need to get added in HD. And when those applicable continue to get skipped over, in favor of adding other programming which were not carried at all, it is frustrating. So, I do understand your point.

I agree, but I do know that quite a few people did want GSN, so I am glad that they got one they have wanted for a long time.
