Run-away recording of Showtime's Dexter

I have a timer for Dexter, New and Reruns. The first 3 reruns recorded last night and I had moved them to EHD. The 4th show was recording then. I hadn't noticed but it did not stop at 1 hour--it recorded 5 hours before I caught it. First hour is the show and it then runs on and on. I was building a collection for later viewing but now I have a 14.347GB lump when I cut it off. How long could it have recorded? HOW did this happen?

SHOTO is not repeated so no chance for another showing. I guess, I'll just have to get to seeing it SOONER rather than later and discard it. I had missed the first 4 of the series because I was not yet set up.

At least now new shows are reporting the recording date and not 2/6/2106 11:28 PM for every show, yes next century.

Must have been a Hopper thing, the 622 I set for got them fine...

I think somehow had to do with moving the first 3 to EHD while the 4th recorded.
Confusion and just lost track of programming?
More and more I don't want to do moves while new shows are pending.
It was doing great with recording 3 and moving 2 or even 3 simultaneously.

Don't transfer while recording. Taxing the system. Surely you have time to avoid such.
