I recently had an install done in my home with one 625, and two 510 recievers. These were installed with all new equipment, and ran through a 34 switch in my basement before going to the recievers.

I have another 500 Dish, with a Twin DishPro LNB for the RV using a tripod. I am having trouble getting the 510 reciever to see the Twin DP LNB. Is it true inorder for check switch to work, there must be a signal? This seems to be the chicken and the egg. I do not have a hand held signal meter to use, so is there another way to get the reciever to see the different switch/lnb without already having a signal?

You can run chech switch and it will recognize the DP twin. If there is no signal, it will show up as conn conn, then you can search for the signal.

You can also disconnect the receiver and run a check switch to get all x's. It will see whatever signal you can find, then you can run a new switch test.
