S.C. DVR 530 ?

I have followed the instructions from my Canadian dealer and my 530DVR will not activate the second tuner and will not download the program guide.

They said to record on Ch.300, for at least two minutes and to the leave in on Ch.299,for at least a day. Reception is fine; but does anyone know how to force it to activate tuner #2?

Do you have a dedicated 2nd input from the LNBF wired in to the second satellite input. The DVR function will not work properly without its own separate connection to the LNBF.

Yes. I had it professionally installed and he did it right.
