Hi, I currently use SageTV as my DVR for my cable connection. It works great. I love being able to add hard disk space, customize SageTv (in java) and basically customize the hell out of it. It also has placeshifter functionality which lets me connect to my SageTV server for anywhere in the work and control my DVR and watch programs. I can even convert the recored shows and put them on my ipod. I would like to keep this functionaly when I switch to D*. Has anyone had any experience with this and can you please explain what would be involved?
