Samsung RVU question

I currently have a hr44 and hr24.. That's 7 tuners total. I know the max is 8. If I add my new tv which is RVU capable does that add a new tuner or just take one from the genie when in use? Meaning I still only use 7 tuners in my house.. Is that correct?

It will not count against the number of tuners you can have, since it does use a tuner from the HR44. So you are correct, even after that setup you will remain at 7 tuners. Just so you know, it will count as a receiver though, so you will get charged the $6 mirroring fee.
