Can I used a different lnbf other than that big dbn lnbf 118 /119 lnbf to get just the international programing on sat.118 with a 4-ft. Dish?

Nope, 118 takes a specific lnb, no other type will work.

While there are other "aftermarket" LNB's that are just for 118 they are mainly used (at the time) to steal Dish Network using a free to air receiver. Dish receivers have specific transponder info so they require the stock DishPro LNB.
