Satellite Books at Local Library

Found some books at our county library on the subject of satellite reception, they are somewhat dated, but go through the basics:

Guide to Satellite TV Technology by Howard Sams.
Home Satellite TV Installation and Troubleshooting Manual by Baylin et al.
Miniature Satellite Dishes, The New Digital Television, by Dr. Frank Baylin

Lots of good information, and even though these books are somewhat old, the basic theory helps to understand how the technology works. Great pictures and diagrams too.

Anyone out there have any suggestions on good reference books?

Never thought to look here. We have three libraries in this county and they have some old stuff. Will be interesting to look next time I am in.

My library had one and it was old and talked about having to use LNA's and block converters.

It describes using a cone to capture more of the data from a smoke signal!
