I bought a satellite dish today - Dish 500, slightly larger then my BEV dish.
It is 22 1/4 x 10 1/2 inches. It is marked "Dish" - "Digital LNBF" and also
marked 119 and 110 on the LNBF's

Will that be a type of dish that can be used for BEV?

I lost more channels in Arizona this winter and would like to try a different
dish. I miss TSN the most, but also lost all of the Calgary channels and some
others.

it will work but it wont bring in the channels missing

The footprint of the crapelite (which are the 2 satellites that Bell bought from DirecTV) doesn't cover that part of the US...period.

no matter how big the dish, they won't come in..sadly

Thanks, Iceberg.
I will take the dish home to Canada where I can find a use for it. I don't have much invested. I went to a grand opening of a new Goodwill store in Mesa today and found the dish, LNB's and coax cable for $6.50.

When in AZ. and wanting all the Canadian programs you have to have a Star Choice system with a 30" dish size for there.
Contact Star Choice when back in Canada and find out the details.
You could set up the receiver and have it authorized on a Star Choice antenna at a dealers store and take it to AZ and set up the antenna yourself.
