I was looking at old TELE-satellite magazines this afternoon. They were great publications.

I know there aren't any in North America anymore but, with the popularity of satellite reception in Europe and other countries, are there still any English language satellite magazines published?

I subscribe to Spectrum Monitor. It's a good magazine along the lines of the old Monitoring Times. The May issue is in my inbox waiting to be read.

Spectrum Monitor is distributed using .pdf format only. This is OK since print magazine distribution, especially if sending outside the U.S., is too expensive nowadays. Soft copies keep the subscription cost so low it's hard to refuse subscribing. And...you can view the .pdf copy in any size that suits your eyes. Win-win.

But Spectrum Monitor doesn't have much on the FTA hobby. That's why I was looking for periodicals in English from other countries.

Yep, very cool article in the May issue about WLW and Powel Crosley Jr and his 500,000 watt AM powerhouse radio station in Cincinnati way back when -

Can a fixed "Prime Focus" dish be converted to a movable dish?
