So does anyone know the order of priorities on selecting with satellite is used for?

we have the HD Package and are setup with the 119,110, 61.5

We had some rain a while ago, and were watching HDnet. The rain fade kicked in and the satellite would only look at 110 then 119 for the channel.
I went to point dish, and 61.5 and 119 were fine, but 110 was out.

I know that this has been asked time and time again, but is there a way to configure 61.5 higher in the list, or could there be an install problem? the install folks did a really crappy job installing. one of the mast arms has two lags in the top, and then one put in at an angle halfway on the outside of the bracket (looks like a shim) to hold it in place.

thanks for all your help

HD Net is at 110° not 61.5°. To see what channels are on what satellite go to Dish Network Channel Chart (Unofficial).

You can get rain fade on one satellite and not another every now an again. But usually if you lose 110° you would have lost 119° shortly before. There is a possibility that 110° is not peaked very well causing it to go out more often than 119°.

See ya

Satellites are picked by the channel you are watching. There is no way to provide all programming off one sat. Unless you have mirrored sats, like 61.5 and 129, there is no way to select which one.

Probably lost 110 because there was a bigger cloud between it and the satellite at the time.
