I've been playing for over 2 years. Whenever the game started. I sold the casinos because money is no longer important in the game and you have to pay to protect the properties. There didn't use to be a Robbing feature. You can only deposit 999 Quadrillion dollars into the bank anyways.
What Zynga is trying to do is get back the $$$ that people got due to the money glitches. Robbing and protecting the properties is one way. What would make more sense for them to do is just to reset everyone's bank accounts.
If you sell the casinos, you only get half of what paid for them. So, selling them off to rebuy them doesnt make good business sense.
Hard to believe they don't have backups and could not just reset stuff from what it was the morning before the massive screwup with the free godfather points.
I wish I could put Zynga on the hitlist; they mess with this game way too much.
I agree. Zynga is famous for adding "new" features before ever fixing the bugs in the old stuff. Some of the weapons don't make any sense either. Would you carry around a "dirty syringe" to use in a fight? Zynga actually waited months before forcing a name change/deleting. Could you imagine if someone here had the name "SatGuysSuck"? He wouldn't last 3 seconds! We would hunt him down and paint his satellite dish pink!
Classic Zynga response to people whining about being robbed. Keep the feature but make it impossible to be robbed. Kinda like a bank that boasts 5% return for checking accounts, but you aren't allowed to deposit money into your account.
Yup.A slight over reaction by Zynga to say the least .I just tried 3 more times & I was denied each & every time.
On face book the price to buy them back comes down when you sell them. I'm paying $225M to buy casinos today. It's also a quick and cheaper way to get the 50 casino achievement award.
I don't even care about that particular achievement. Seems like to much hassle. And money has long ceased to be important in the game. I mean my god, I have $60B in the bank in NY. Whats a few hundred million, when you earn $40M every 53 minutes?
Even in Cuba, it has ceased to be an issue. Yes, smaller scale - i have all the properties maxed out, but already have $10M in Cuba.
I am at the point where I wish I could use GF points to change my character type from mogul to maniac (or whatever one it is where you re-energize more quickly).

It's not like buying stocks when they're low and selling high. It takes over a year to earn back what you spent on 1 property. Having said that, it might be the easiest way to earn that achievement if you have limited $$$ and don't mind losing the money. All that for 1 skill point doesnt really make it a must-have IMO. You're better off to buy props, hold onto them, and in 2 years maybe break even. I still have 1,150,000 casinos and earn almost 1 quadrillion dollars/hour. There's nothing to do with the $$. Can't deposit it and can't set huge bounties like back in the day. As far as cuban pesos are concerned, it will be important to have a lot in the beginning. It takes 8 Politico Corruptos for a job in Cacique. You can only earn 10 in a 24 hour period, but you can buy 10 more C500,000$. Thats where the pesos become important.
10/hr? I earn 10 every 6 hours -- ok, I lose a cycle or two a night, but every 3 hours I get 5 more Politicos. right now I have 827; not worried about running out anytime soon.
I'm confused; I dont see where I said 10/hour, but oh well. You get 5 every 3 hours, but if you don't collect every 6 hours, you don't get more till you collect. I collect every 24 hours, then buy the extra 10. 827 is a lot, but keep in mind, on job mastery level 3 of Cacique, it takes 8 per whack X100=800 for level 3 alone.10/hr? And ramy, you cannot change character type.
There are times when I think about just quitting this game; it really is a terrible time-sink, and gets in the way of more important things like SatelliteGuys.
