Digi, any news on the LeafsTV HD uplink? I think it was on channel 848 last year. Preseason starts in 6 days.

I just realized that Sportsnet Ontario is now on TP8, which I can't get. That really sucks. I don't pay as much attention in the summer months on the uplink changes. Maybe they'll move it before the season starts.

Thanks for all your reports digi.

Still no LeafsTV HD uplink.

And Sportsnet Ontario was always on TP8, but now its one of the tp's I can't get. This one really hurts, they have 22 Leaf games this year.

I can't wait till they replace those old crappy birds they are using.

No news.

Do you have a list of TP's you can't get in your area?

I'll go through the TP's tomorrow. Obviously over the summer months, some here in SW Florida have decreased. I wonder if our Orlando or Tampa subs can do the same, since they were able to get almost all of them last fall.

Here are the tp's unavailable to me as of 9/18/07. I have dedicated 20" dishes looking at 82 and 91. The strengths on the tp's I can get on 82 go from 50-60, on 91, they are very strong from 85-100.

Sat 82 Unavailable in SW Florida
1,3,5,7,9,11,15,21,25,27,29,31

Sat 91 Unavailable
4,8,10,12,18,22,24,26

Thanks, I updated my uplink tool's tables.

Hi Digiblur:

I am a snowbird in Eastern Canada, wintering in Palm Springs.
I updated you last year on the 91 transponders not available in SoCal.

As far as I can tell (having tested it on my RV travels) the southern edge of the footprint for NIMIQ3 when it was at 91 went on a line from Salt Lake City down thru Oklahoma City to Northern Florida, and this (shift of the western end of the footprint north) was done in order to provide a footprint to the Yukon for the weaker NIMIQ 3, so the real loss of signal is to the SW US states. I'm wondering then why you refer to "Canada/Non SE US beam" .. why not "Non SW US Beam"?

I assume I will find the same footprint for NIMIQ4 at 91 on my trip down this fall but I will update you in November.

My question however is regarding 82, as I am considering getting an HD receiver, but do not want to buy into that if the HD signals are not available either in SoCal. I note Angliodan's roport that his 82 strength signals are 50-60 vs 85-100 for 91 which to me is marginal.
Do you have any thoughts on this? I do get OTA HDTV in SOCAL but it would be nice to get Hockey Night in Canada in HD too.

I've only listed them as Non SE beams because I was only recently updated by a FL resident. I'd be happy to update the 91 and 82 list of TP's from someone in California.

That was exactly what I was looking for, thank you very much. Question what is (0X89) which is listed as the type of broadcast?

Not quite sure as I do not have a receiver but it looks like they change to this data type when they "hide" the channel.
