SciFi has big some shows in HD. I wouldnt dismiss this. And besides, the upresed version would look a lot better than what we're getting now. D* getting these stations (even uprezed) would have me strongly consider switching if I was not in contract.

Yes SciFi has a lot of shows that are shown later on Universal HD in HD. But, that does not do DIRECTV (or Dish) any good if they do not have an HD feed uplinked somewhere for DIRECTV to retransmit. Yes standard definition can look good when not compressed, but it will still be standard definition until SciFi actually provides an HD signal.

I don't think you can look at it that way. Since they can technically do an uplink within minutes. They've done stuff on Wednesday afternoons and then more overnight or early Thursday morning. I also remember some on Friday morning. It just depends on what they have in the queue.

Like Digiblur said they can make changes at any time, I have seen uplink changes as late as 1 AM EST.

Did you notice there's a Bravo HD listed on that page? Are they bringing it back? It's on Galaxy 14 with the other new HD channels.

Universal HD (the former Bravo HD) is on AMC 11, so it's not just a glitch that they forgot to rename.
