Hello, wuick question if I am looking for a sat and happen to come across one with a fairly good signal thats not the one I am looking for, will a blind scan tell me which sat it might be on or will it not pick up any transponders at all, thanks

If you are getting good signal, and the signal is a type which your equipment "understands" and can process, then yes a blind scan can tell you what sat you are aimed at, if you know what channels are on what sat (sources for that info are Lyngsat, The List, etc.).

If I'm not sure what bird I'm on I'll blindscan "ALL" instead of "FTA" usually something will pop up that I'll recognize or can find out what it is.

I usually Google, "logged service name + Lyngsat". The Lyngsat-address link usually will point to right broadcaster and identify the satellite.
