I've never crimped coaxial cable... Tried screw-on connectors once, but they didn't work very well. Better yet, it was with RG59, not RG6 ! Maybe I'm not worthy.... :eek:


I crimped my first cable when I was 12, got a metal splinter in one of my fingers in the process, also had to oil and grease the shaft of the old C-Band we had once a month, until 1996 when my dad bought a Primestar system. We need an "old school" ranking.

Here's what I've been through with since my tot days...

Antenna

Cable (at elementary and high school)

C-Band

Ku-Band (at high school and junior college)

Cable (college years)

Primestar

DirectTV

Cable (When I moved into apartment, have locals as back-up currently)

Dish Network (currently using)



Face it, instead of "senior member", "old school" would be more suitable in my opinion.
