SES-11 and SES-1 dual lock

We have SES-11 and SES-1 on two separate dishes. During some troubleshooting with our SES-11 feed we discovered we can lock on to SES-1 on our SES-11 feed and vice versa. We're working specifically with the Vertical feed. Any idea why this is happening and if it may be causing our intermittent issues we're seeing on our SES-11 feed? Thanks!

Our SES-11 is on a new 5m dish, left side of a tripple feed. SES-1 is on the center feed of a 4.6 m dish. Both feeds run through a separate powered Quintech splitter, with no switches.

can you give more details about your setup? Any switches involved? Also what the dish size?

So it's about 101W and 105W? Sidelobe of the lnb, maybe?

Where do you find your problem? Directly at the LNB, or at the "splitter"?

Magic Static .....are you saying 8 feet? Our dishes are 4.6 and 5 meter, which would be larger than 8'
Sorry, I was having a senior moment and hit the wrong (post) button when I realized what was said. I didn't mean to post what you read and deleted it immediately. But computers sometimes can catch some split seconds ;)

Wonder if there is a bit of bleedover in your Quintech splitter. Can you post the model number of the splitter and downlink freqiencies you are seeing the problem with? Might be some interaction somewhere that can be predicted.

First thoughts... your dishes are way too big. I can even trade my two stationary 3m dishes for your 5 and 4.6m units if you deliver them... :)

Yes, it's 101W and 103W. We're not familiar with sidelobe, but will look into it. We are seeing the problem right off the LNB.

I don't believe it is. We've tried to switch splitters and we are seeing it right off the LNB.

We're using an 8-way splitter now. P/N LS082150A1FVA000. We had it in a 4 x 4 splitter at first.
The frequencies we're getting on 105W are 1350 and 1230MHz (L-band).

Thanks, that does help and sounds like a possible issue. It's just odd that we're seeing this on 3 different dishes. The signal on both is relatively the same on both feeds when looking at our meter....signal is around -33dBm and the C/N is around 13.8. It varies slightly depending on transponder.

If you are getting the interference direct from the LNB then it seems more like a feed-horn a placment issue causing sidelobes and all that.
What are the L-band frequencies for the SES-1 dish? Expecting the LO is 5150.. 1230V is likely the problem since it is the same for both sats.
Do you have the polarity skew set right? Might be able to shift one feed-horn polarity one way and the other the other way just a bit to help cancel the wrong signal(s)? Might be something to try...
