Does anyone know what will happen when you return the set top box that you bought with your $40 government coupon back to the store?

1. Will you receive the full purchase price back--in effect, converting your coupon into cash?

2. Will you receive only the amount above $40 back with no replacement coupon--in effect, "burning" one of your coupons?

3. Will you receive the amount above $40 back and a replacement coupon?

From https://www.dtv2009.gov/FAQ.aspx

If I used the coupon to buy a TV converter box and then return it for credit with the retailer, can I use that credit for any other purchase at the retailer?
You will not be able to receive cash or credit for the coupon amount, but you can receive cash or credit for any amount you paid out of pocket, if the store policy permits returns or exchanges.

They have probably thought of everything so that people do not abuse the system. I can see a lot of these going for cheap on ebay once people start getting these.
