I read on one of the stickies that you can get an an Over-the-Air antenna installation available for $50 to receive digital/analog locals. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it worth getting the antenna or when SF Bay area gets HD Locals will the antenna be basically useless?

Since at most you would only get in HD are the BIG four networks (ch2, 5, 7, 11), I would still get an OTA antenna. Your picture quality will be much better for your locals and you can get PBS, WB and UPN in HD.

I think it's only a local dealer promotion and you'd have to find a local dealer that's participating in it...

A friend of mine in Santa Clara got the deal when he got his 622. When they worked on his satellite dish for 129 he had them install an OTA antenna and they charged him $50 for it. The antenna is a small multidirectional thing, but he gets all of the stations from Sutro, Mt. San Bruno and the East Bay hills very well.
