Shared Playback with hopper and joey?

i was thinking multi-cast. not sure if, or how, MoCA supports it.
It appears that Broadcom has applied for a patent, but it was within the last 15 months, so I doubt anything out there implements it.

I haven't seen a consumer device certified for MoCA 2.0 yet and I don't think multicast is part of 2.0.

Interesting. Is this verified?

I just did some testing, If you pause the Joey first and then join it from the other Joey, they are synchronized. If you don't pause first, there is a slight delay between Joeys but can be fixed by pausing either Joey and un-pausing or jumping to live. Changing a channel un-joins the Joeys and you have to re-join again.

This would allow up to three HDTVs to be in the same room showing the same thing just using Joeys and still have the ability to show different channels when needed.

After additional testing, I found a couple of limitations. A Joey cannot join another Joey that has joined a live PTAT tuner or is watching a previously recorded show.
