i went on seasonal break, but then couldn't get signal on channel 400 when i re-connected.

i can get signal of 86 on channel 299 / 308 etc and a clear picture.
called shaw, they said it was bad multiswitch, because i couldn't get horizontal channels. so i bought a new quad [old style] LNB

still wont work. factory resets, shaw sent hit

i can get signal of 86 on channel 299 and a clear picture. green light. provider 4128 Sat A4

but if i go to channel 400, red light 4128 Sat A4 0 signal

any ideas? lnb.JPG

Sounds like you might need to factory reset the receiver then get a fresh hit, might have a bad software download.

no go.

i had unstacked being sent already.

i see via options 64 'authorization status' for ch 400 as US

on channels I GET, it say S

okay, i can unplug the DSR 205 for 5 minutes.

then, turn it on & get TSN [400] for about 3 minutes, then red light / no signal

any thoughts ?

can't edit post #1

here are the actual symptoms:

power cycle DSR205
i can get TSN [400] perfectly for 3 minutes [see strong signal in pics]
sd.jpg
after 3 minutes, the light flashes red / green/ red / green / red
no picture
no signal [no horizontal channels]

then i power cycle DSR205 again
i can get TSN [400] perfectly for 3 minutes
after 3 minutes, the light flashes red / green/ red / green / red
no picture
no signal [no horizontal channels]

Update ....

i broke out my old tripod & moved the dish a few feet and raised it a few feet.

then, i had problems with the receiver's AC adapter and i replaced it using 12V 1000mA, instead of 12V 1.25A

fired up the system, and have had TSN 400 for 30 minutes.

will leave this setup til the morning & if still green continuously, i'll move the dish back, to determine if it is the adapter or location ...

put the dish back in the original location.

still going strong on TSN 400

was a bad AC adapter that powers the DSR205 reciever

jeezus !! that was a TOUGH ONE !!
