Shaw Direct to add Space HD and Drop HDNet

Shaw Direct will add Space HD to it's HD line-up on March 20, 2012. On the same day HDNet will be terminated from the line-up.

Space HD will likely be added to the HD Extra and HD Extra Lite package.

I don´t watch HDNet much but I think it was about time Shaw added Space HD.

HDNet will be having a dramatic overhaul of its programming this summer. Cuban sold part of the station to Ryan Seacrest and Anschutz Entertainment. As part of this, name will change to AXS Network. From what it sounds like, it will be more along the lines of E! in the US plus live concerts

Shaw Direct announces: "HDNet No Longer Available
HDNet is no longer available as a channel for any Canadian television provider. If you are subscribed to the channel in the HD Extra package, it was removed without impacting the other channels in the package."
Haven´t checked to see if they replaced it already with Space HD.....
