I seen where you can track the pings that comes to you or your site with certain software and I do know that if they have the info on where it came from themselves that they are not allowed to give it to you because its private information.

The avatar I am using now is not the one I had originally tried to use, I chose a different one until I find something I like even better. I would like to find some free animated avatars.

Try out http://www-whois.internic.net/cgi/whois they will give you the owner of the ip number and the address/contact info on file.

You can get some information from the Regional Internet Registries (**IF** you have the IP, which I suspect Scott's ISP will NOT release).

The RIR's are:
ARIN (Americas)
RIPE (Europe)
APNIC (Asia/Pacific).
LACNIC (Carribean)
