Should I close the msn group?

I was reading a post on another website about should we start a cooperative. I started thinking, it's possible if there was enough people willing to support it. I created another forum in the group and was getting ready to test the interest of installers who would want to make this happen. I added a counter on the main page to test out how well the counter would work Now I'm wondering if there is even enough interest to keep the forums and group at all. So tell me, what do you think? Should I just trash the msn group all together?

Why not get a domain name of your own and host it?
Then you could set up your own Bulletin Board/Forum where you have complete control.
