Ok I just want to clarify something for myself.

Is it not true that SHVERA of 2004 states that a one dish soulution is required for local stations. This does not mean that you have to get everything off of one dish. It just means all the local stations have to be on one dish.

So you could still have DMA's that have a 2 dish solution. One dish for the local channels and one dish for the other.

Is this correct? Am I reading it right? Or is it that the satellite companys must provide all programing to a DMA on one dish.

You are correct. The SHVREA only says that all local channels from any one given market have to be available on one DISH (not from one satellite location) by June 2006 (18 months from the law's enactment).

That one dish can also be a different one than another required for other programming.

Digital local channels from any one market will also have to be available one dish. That one dish does not have to be the same one for analog channels or other programming.

See ya
Tony
