Here & Now
The other night while battling a case of insomnia i turned on the TV. After sometime watching Discovery ID I went to change to another channel and was greeted with the "Complete Loss of Signal" screen. I was eventually able to get back to ID but no other channels. I then did a complete reset at the receiver to get my signal back.

My question is, did this happen because I had the receiver on during the nightly upgrade? Or was this a one off problem? I did notice the "Loss of Signal" screen was one I hadn't seen before along with the "Acquiring Satellite" screen being different than before. So I also wondered if Dish had some new software that could be causing it.

We did put out software so some of the messages look different than they did before. If you haven't noticed the problem again, I would guess it was a one and done issue. False signal loss messages are a known issue, but they shouldn't happen that often, and a reset should get everything back to normal.

If it happens again try a hard reset, make sure "sat in" cables are tight, and run a check switch test to make sure the signals are coming in properly. If it continues/does happen again, let us know as well.
