Hi... When attempting to peak the alignment of a KaKu Slimline 5-LNB dish is it acceptable to use the signal meters on the IRD's themselves or does one need to install an inline power meter near the dish to "do it right"... I understand having the power meter right there at the dish offers some obvious advantages but I don't have a current setup that makes the easy to do... But I do, of course, have access to all five satellite signals by using the signal meters on the receivers... And if using the receiver power meters, does it matter what individual transponders you choose on a given satellite??? Lower numbered ones??? Higher numbered ones??? I would guess not but I thought I would ask...

thanks for any help... bob...

if youre close to the reciever and cranked up volume.. you could do that. 80s or more is ideal. but 90s or higher is the best, straight south and then fine tune it moving it slightly with the elevation using a 1/2 wrench til it is peaked.
