Site drops out sometimes?

I have noticed in the last month or so when I am browsing around the site sometimes for about a minute or so it becomes unavailable. Just wondering if it is just me or if anyone else has this problem.

Sometimes the connection between the server and your ISP will encounter congestion or something to that effect and will knock out sites momentary. A few times I couldn't hit this mboard, I couldn't see CNN.com or a few other sites.

Yhea. sometimes it is for so long I think I have lost connection and have to try another site.

We monitor the site 24/7 via two seperate external monitoring sites where the site is constantly pinged and certain ports are checked for operation. If something goes wrong I am automatically paged.

In addition some services will reset themselves if they fail.

Our uptime and performance have been very good as of late. I have noticed however that some of the ads unregistered and registered folks see come up slow. I have been working with the ad agency on those as they are the ones who serve those ads.
