Don't know if this means anything, but I've started getting frequent all-white screens when paging back, like from a thread back to the thread list. Paging further back always brings up the previous page (forums list) and then I can proceed forward again

Try clearing your cache.

Nothing has been changed on the server and a quick check shows all is operating as normal. I have been on the site for a few hours now as well.

I just rebooted the server to apply some patches...

In addition our stats software was trying to run which was bogging down the system. I disabled that.

I am working on things, I get a message we have a security update which I am applying now.

I noticed this as well. However, I also had issues with several other websites. I'm thinking my issues are ISP related and not SatGuys.
