Scott, site has been running slow for me this morning. While trying to find out if it was me or you I did some checking and found that a ping with a default packet size was fine, but if I upped it to 1400 bytes I started to see a bunch of packet loss. Below is the tracerout from me to your hosting site and shows where packets start to get dropped (206.123.64.30) which RDNS says is ge-1-2.core2.colo4dallas.net

4 9 ms 9 ms 10 ms gig2-0-0.austtxrdcsc-rtr3.texas.rr.com [24.93.33
.134]
5 14 ms 15 ms 14 ms gig5-3-0.dllatxl3-rtr1.texas.rr.com [72.179.205.

6 18 ms 17 ms 17 ms te-9-1.car1.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.79.180.81]
7 14 ms 13 ms 13 ms COLO4-DALLA.car1.Dallas1.Level3.net [8.9.232.74]

8 15 ms 13 ms 15 ms ge-1-2.core2.colo4dallas.net [206.123.64.30]
9 14 ms 16 ms 15 ms 206.123.64.110
10 15 ms 16 ms 15 ms 65.99.220.89

Ping statistics for 65.99.220.89:
Packets: Sent = 222, Received = 143, Lost = 79 (35% loss),

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 21ms, Maximum = 49ms, Average = 23ms
Control-C

Ping statistics for 206.123.64.110:
Packets: Sent = 176, Received = 128, Lost = 48 (27% loss),

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 22ms, Maximum = 49ms, Average = 23ms
Control-C

Ping statistics for 8.9.232.74:
Packets: Sent = 306, Received = 306, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 25ms, Maximum = 221ms, Average = 33ms

Things are looking fine here but I will put in a ticket and have them look at the router to which we are connected to. :)

From my AT&T DSL:
6008 bytes from 65.99.220.89: icmp_seq=99 ttl=54 time=181.304 ms

--- www.satelliteguys.us ping statistics ---
100 packets transmitted, 100 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 180.792/181.559/183.217/0.394 ms

Looking good from North-central Indiana.

Things are fine for me from SW michigan at home and through work from our proxy in colorado

I would be helpful if you'd also supplied traceroutes so we can see if the same path is being taking into Scotts hosting site.

But as the day goes on it looks like it's not them but TWC down in Texas. They have an status page and it says Texas is having problems. Guess it's time to flip over to my DSL connection until it's fixed. Thanks anyway.

Actually a pathping is the best option, it is a combination tracert and ping. But will ping every host along the path as well.
